CAMi Vineyards

Inspired by and dedicated to Tom Shelton.

Tom and Laurie Shelton purchased the Estate vineyard, planted to Merlot and Cabernet, in 2000, and as wine industry veterans, they were delighted to have the blessing of the renowned viticulturist David Abreu who called it “real Cabernet dirt.” This small patch of arid land borders the Selby Creek and the Silverado Trail north of St. Helena and produces tiny, intense berries.

When Tom died in 2008, his spirit passed into these vines which surround the family sanctuary called the Trail House. The idea of making a healing wine for the family took root and in 2013 they made the first vintage of CAMi.

 

CAMi is dedicated to the life and work of Tom Shelton. May the wine exemplify Tom’s vigor and the terroir he cherished.
